Apparently, the people of Vanuatu should be the happiest in the world and the unhappiest are likely to be found in Zimbabwe.
The Happy Planet Index is a calculation of peoples happiness based upon 3 factors:
- ecological footprint
- life-satisfaction
- life expectancy
The result is that no country meets the "reasonable ideal" level of happiness (a score of 83.5 or higher). The UK is ranked 108 (scoring 40.8) out of 178 countries.
