If you are not already using Firefox, download it! It is a much better browser than Internet Explorer – safer, faster and you can add extensions to it that do lots of cool things.
Some of my favourite Firefox extensions…

Firefox extensions

  • Adblock Plus – block adverts and speed up your browsing! It is customisable too.
  • British English Dictionary
  • ColorZilla – pick a colour on the webpage and copy the RGB or hex ref to clipboard.
  • Delicious Bookmarks – bookmark pages quickly and share them on Delicious.
  • Firebug – helps web developers debug JavaScript errors.
  • FireShot – takes screenshots of web pages, edit them, save them, upload them. Great for web developers.
  • Flashblock – stops Flash from playing automatically. Instead, you choose if you want a Flash movie to play.
  • FlashGot – popular download manager that helps you download multiple files from one page, plus other features.
  • Forecast Fox – automatically fetches the weather forecast now and for the next 5 days for any location you wish.
  • Foxclocks – tells you the timezone in multiple cities around the world. Excellent when calling friends overseas.
  • IE Tab – useful for viewing pages that only work in IE (without having to open IE itself).
  • Launchy
  • MeasureIt
  • Page Speed
  • SearchStatus – useful tool for search engine marketing.
  • SEOQuake
  • StumbleUpon
  • Tab Mix Plus – increases your options for how you use tabs. Remembers the tabs you had open the last time you closed Fierfox.
  • Unhide Passwords
  • Web Developer – essential toolbar for web developers created by Chris Pederick.
